Lala Tomyam Kampung Baru....

Do you have been to Lala tomyam kampung baru? Or you are looking for a nice Thai food...?

This restaurant at Kampung Baru was introduced by my friend that working in Thai Embassy - mentioned that when come to function, this embassy will order from this restaurant.

Last night, after back from work I feel so hungary. I was thaught to have dinner just nearby to my house. When my wife suggest for kampung baru... I said why not, since it is already long time I don't make my move to this place.

Lunch in Bali.

After done with shopping, we move to look for a place for our lunch meal. We found a nice restaurant with BALI concept.

The Interior.

The menu look so tasty.. I've order Ole-ole nasi, my wife ordering something similar but without rice and chicken chop for both of kids. While we looking for others menu to order, the waiter advice us not do it. He say that the food already more then enough and said, if we can't complete our meals, we can "tapau" it.

Food was so nice and huge... I like the chicken chop that we ordered for kids, taste difference then other western chicken chop. The Es for my wife so nice too.

You can choose to eat with "bersila" or at table. We choosing to bersila. Next to our bersila place, they decorate with bali water fall and small river. My kids love it.

25th December.. Where I'm spending my day with?

When you see above pictures, where do you think I've been? Yeah, this shopping complex I only go once a year. On 25th, is the Christmas day. Sometimes I'm thinking why does most Chinese and Indian that they are not the Christian - do really busy to celebrate it? Now a days, I do see Malay do the same :)

My wife will went to Singapore next year, so she need some stuff and since today is public holiday with lots of sales, why not I spending half hours looking for parking in the building car park.

My kids enjoying their day with us, since her mother so busy lately.

Insaf will truely making you INSAF.

I was bringing my daughter to skin specialist due to her eczema that really bad then before. The way from Cheras to Jalan TAR was really smooth and clear. Even I can dance on the road. I think most people already start their holiday for this Christmas.

We make a stop for breakfast at Insaf restaurant. Dude... Their roti canai & roti telur is really awesome. Even their dal very tasteful. Usually I don't take dal when having roti canai, but not today.

Their roti is crunch outside but soft inside. It is not oily like other mamak roti canai.. Good for your health i think and I think this is the way how roti canai should cook.

Anyway, the price is a bit expensive compare to other mamak stall. They are really famous with Beriany. Imagine if I'm asking their curry chicken with the roti... You will get insaf to pay then..

New Mamak Place to Hung around. Q Bistro..

Today this morning.. I wake up and straight having bath. My wife confuse and asking if I am plan to go to the office - since I should work from home this week.

"Nope.. I'm hungry"...

"Going for breakfast? I wanna to follow then"...

"You are working ... U might late..".....

"I dun keh... wanna follow u for breakfast"...

So, after drop our kids to their nursery, I just drove and thinking where to have our breakfast.. Then I saw at new shop lots in Permaisuri... Q Bistro already open.. Yeah! Just remember when talking to 1 of Hajris staff last week, they will open their new restaurant - Q Bistro - on Wenesday.

I made a U turn and park... Glad.. We are the number 5 or 7; 1st customer for their first operation this day..

People who like in Tasik permaisuri / Cheras area maybe will familiar with Hajris Bistro Restaurant or shortname RHB :)

They are opening a new restaurant - Q Bistro. This restaurant are really out of concept for a mamak restraurant. Hey! But it is new breath for any mamak to have this concept... Maybe this will be a future for any mamak restaurant soon.

The food seems like same like RHB.. but in the night maybe they will bring lots of Thai or Western food together... FYI, they also are the owner for Sri Melati Tomyam.

Good place for group sitting... Old concept but redesign to modern. Remember P.Ramlee movie when he goes to restaurant for dating?

The outside.

Hajris the owner must be so rich now.. I not sure, but i think he buying all this 3 doors shop lots all level...

The interior and exterior for Q Bistro.. It is not seen like typical mamak restaurant at all.

I just hope that the owner might consider no smoking for inside area. Since this is a family to have a meals place, it is not nice when people are smoking inside and children and kids are around. If they like to smoke, outside please..

So, like other mamak place, when you having meals in there restaurant, the smell will stick on your cloths :) Smell of moghul spices ...

Last Friday, after back from playing futsal with ACS & ex-ACS colleagues, there's a surprise for me. Look what I found on the dining table. It is for me..

Food Republic

I love seeing channel 703 in Astro.. Yeah.. A food channel.

Just know I watch program "coffee talk & hawker" in this channel.. and 1 place they goes are The Food Republic...

Yeah.. The same food republic at the pavilion. I was thought that Food Republic is a product of Malaysia - like the picnic in KLCC... Then now i know that it is a singapore brand.. What the hack a big shopping complex in Malaysia are bringing this foreign product? Is it hard for them to create their own brand?

So, know the famous fried oyster and fried koew teow was a long product from food republic singapore too.. Damn...

It is not about I hate singapore, even i have lots of singaporean friends. I hate when a big place like this bring over something simple to create in here... The shopping complex owner is singaporean?

Madam Kwan.

After having a good time in PD, we move back to KL... Since there's no much thing to do on raining day in PD town and all restaurant are closed in this Raya Haji.

On the way back, we are using Sepang exit. I like to avoid traffice and Plus highway. The journey is nice but slow. This is because we are using the the palm oil estate road until reach Sepang, then we take a Maju expressway.

I take my family at Madam Kwan in Pavilion for lunch. Yeah!! Of cause the food is really good.

My wife dishes - Nasi Bojari... Wonderful.

Kakak meal - from menu she showing the image for fish & chips. It is really good too and she like it very much.. See her hand grabing the fish while I snap the picture.

I grab a Char Koew Teow and a small plate of sambal ikan bilis... Nice combinations :)

Adik is sharing food with her mom and sister. She like bojari rice so much and i need to ask for additional rice. Anyway this kid, always can't sit properly.
